Cornelius Group plc (Cornelius), a European market leader in the manufacture and distribution of speciality chemicals, has been appointed by Umicore Specialty Materials Brugge NV (Umicore) to distribute its world-class metal carboxylate driers and catalysts portfolio in the UK and Ireland coatings, inks and composites market, starting from 1st June 2024.

Umicore has a long tradition in producing metal carboxylates and in developing their applications in diverse industries. Focusing highly on Research & Development, Umicore has launched innovative products based around technological performance, economic optimisation and ecological benefits. As well as a wide range of metal carboxylate driers, including mixed driers and driers based on neodecanoic acid chemistry, Umicore has developed patented technology that incorporates metals in a polymer network, limiting bio-accessibility and enhancing safety. Umicore’s metal carboxylate supply chain is characterised by high levels of proficiency in metal processing, with a focus on sustainable sourcing of raw materials.
