Leading European independent speciality chemical distributor, Cornelius Group Plc, has further boosted its support for UK-headquartered The Sparkle Foundation, by sending three of its team to the charity’s Malawi base in October.
As part of the Cornelius Volunteer Programme, three colleagues from across the company will travel to the African country, one of the poorest in the world. They will join Cornelius Chairman Neville Prior, and The Sparkle Foundation founder Sarah Brook, for a week of hands-on work with the frontline team, helping to make a real difference to the local community.
Darren Spiby, Cornelius CEO, said: “The Sparkle Foundation carries out incredibly important work to make positive large-scale change for families in Malawi and we are proud to have been supporting the charity since 2017.
“It is important for Cornelius that, alongside the funds we are able to raise for this amazing charity, we can also provide support that uses the skills and knowledge of our talented employees. We are excited for the colleagues who have been selected to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience and are sure they will also find making such a massive difference to people’s lives hugely rewarding.”
The three volunteers donating their time for the potentially life-changing work in October are Logistics Team Leader, Natalie White, Q&R Executive, George Maddock and Quality & Master Data Analyst, James Abbotson.
