Cornelius, an independent European distributor of innovative, high-quality ingredients for the food and drink industry, has announced a new principal biomarine ingredients specialist, Algaia, in response to rising demands for sustainably-sourced natural ingredients.
The partnership grants Cornelius access to Algaia’s extensive range of eco-friendly proprietary ingredients formed using some of the world’s purest algal extracts derived from brown seaweed, including Satialgine® and Algogel®.
Frédéric Faure, Global Business Development Director at Algaia, commented: “Natural ingredients are a prevalent trend intoday’s market. The modern consumer is increasingly likely to become brand loyal if manufacturers make full use of sustainably-sourced natural ingredients to form an ethically-appealing product. By conducting its operations through a desire to conserve natural resources, Algaia works to channel these environmental benefits down to manufacturers and consumers.
