Cornelius, an independent European manufacturer and distributor of speciality chemicals, ingredients and raw materials, is continuing to support UK headquartered charity Sparkle Malawi, by relaunching its Bioglitter® initiative in 2019.

Cornelius’ support is continuing through the sale of Ronald Britton’s 100% biodegradable glitter product, Bioglitter, where a percentage of its sales revenue will fund the ‘Sparkle for Malawi’ fundraising campaign. The Bishop’s Stortford based business is aiming to raise £10,000 from the initiative by the end of 2019, to further boost its partnership with the charity, improve vulnerable children’s lives and build brighter sustainable futures for Malawian communities.

Trevor Barker, Technical Business Development Manager, Cornelius, said: “We couldn’t be prouder to be continuing to work closely with Sparkle Malawi. Bioglitter is an extremely unique product and with this initiative, alongside additional donations, Cornelius can continue to provide vital support and help the charity with its invaluable work.

“Sparkle Malawi carries out extremely important work in one of the world’s poorest countries. Their commitment to the most disadvantaged in the world is amazing.”

Sparkle Malawi provides hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children with education, nutrition and medical support in rural villages in Malawi, Africa. Cornelius has been supporting the charity since July 2017 and since then has raised over £35,000 in total. Not only this, but funding has also contributed towards the initiative’s feeding programme, helping to provide Sparkle with more than 10,000 nutritious meals.

Ronald Britton’s Bioglitter range is completely unique in the market as the only biodegradable glitters of its kind in the world. Produced from sustainable sources such as eucalyptus trees, the range is based on a biodegradable film that rivals its plastic counterpart and has been endorsed by Sir David Attenborough.
