Cornelius Technical Business Development Manager, Daniel Whitby, attended two technical events: one organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry and the other by the Society of Cosmetic Sciences (SCS).
Royal Society of Chemistry Formulation Science: 29th September
This event was held at Chester Zoo and it was the first time the Royal Society of Chemistry Formulation Group have held a personal care-based meeting.
A wide range of topics were covered, including skin moisturisation (Professor Adrian Williams, University of Reading), the physiological action of cosmetics (Steve Barton, Skin Thinking), polymer surfactant interactions in shampoo products (Dr Neil Shaw, Unilever) and hair graying (Professor Des Tobin, University of Bradford).

Global Export of Cosmetics - A Changing Marketplace (SCS RDG North Event): 1st October
This event, which took place at Thornton Science Park at the University of Chester, was very well attended, indicating what a hot topic global export is.
Talks covered the regulatory aspects of global export (Olivia Santoni, CTPA), formulating global SPF products (Jack Ferguson, Skinnovation), product preservation (Mojgan Moddaresi), stability testing (David Clarke, Emsworth Stability Plus) and export logistics for finished products (Rachel Whittaker, Zest Consulting).
