Polyethylene Waxes for Care Product Applications from Strahl & Pitsch

Produced by the polymerisation of ethylene and highly linear, polyethylene waxes are widely used in the cosmetic industry for their distinct, sharp melt points and consistent high quality.

These specialty waxes build structural stability in stick formulations and increase product viscosity in creams and lotions through their strong, oil-binding properties.

Highly compatible with most cosmetic ingredients, polyethylene waxes are very efficient, generally requiring only 2-10% inclusion to create well structured sticks and gels.

Suitable for use in lip, eye, skin and hair applications, polyethylene waxes are classified by their molecular weight.

Cornelius offers various grades, the main ones being PE 400 and PE 500.
