New Board for ICTA

Cornelius CEO Neville Prior has been appointed treasurer of the International Chemical Trade Association in his capacity as President of the Fecc.
Following its registration at a Brussels notary in February of this year the International Chemical Trade Association (ICTA) held its first General Assembly on June 6th in Istanbul, Turkey. The new board was elected and, aside from Dr Prior, comprises Mr. Edgar E. Nordmann, Nordmann Rassmann GmbH - President and Mr. Douglas Brown, NACD - Vice President. Furthermore Mr. Mathew A. Brainerd, Brainerd Chemical Co., Inc., USA; Mr. Thorsten Harke, Vice President VCH, Germany; Mr. Alan Looney, IACI, Ireland; Mr. Rubens Medrano, Associquim, Brazil; Mr. Peter Newport, CBA, UK and Mr. Oliver Zimmermann, Ter Hell GmbH were also elected.
The New Board took up its work immediately and will discuss, beside other matters, the priorities and topics of ICTA's work for the next weeks and months. Important objectives for ICTA are to promote ICCTA policies through advocacy plans with national, regional and international organisations, to promote the spirit, principles and voluntary practices of Responsible Care and Responsible Distribution and other equivalent programs worldwide, and to act as interface between the industry, including its Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and international organisations and stakeholders.
