Cornelius, an independent European manufacturer and distributor of specialty chemicals, ingredients and raw materials, has restructured its business operations to support the integration of its Specialties manufacturing division, headquartered in Haverhill, UK.
Brian McGowan has joined Cornelius from Kodak Alaris and has been appointed Group Operations Director, replacing Clair Binks, a long serving employee of the company.
Throughout her time at Cornelius, Clair has played a pivotal role in delivering success for Cornelius, its customers and principals, enhancing the company’s reputation and operational capabilities. Clair will work alongside Mr McGowan to ensure a smooth and structured management transition until she leaves the business in July 2019.
Darren Spiby, CEO, Cornelius Group plc, said: “We would like to thank Clair for her exceptional contributions to the Group and wish her every success for the future.

Brian McGowan, Group Operations Director, Cornelius Group plc, said: “My role at Cornelius builds on many years' experience leading operational teams under the Kodak brand. My intention is to inject further significant value into operations across Cornelius Care, Health & Nutrition, Performance Chemicals and Specialties. I’m dedicated to pioneering a strong future for Cornelius and pledge to support the team in engineering, increased business productivity and customer satisfaction.”
The restructure will also see Clare Whitlock move from Operations Manager to Head of Site Manufacturing, reporting into Mr McGowan.
Meanwhile, Simon Moran has been promoted to Group Quality & Regulatory Manager, John Needham has been promoted to the role of Group Warehouse Manager and David Croxford has been promoted to Group Supply Chain Manager. All three will oversee manufacturing and distribution within their roles.
