Glitter goodness, it’s all natural!

Want to add a bit of a sparkle to your food? Perhaps you’ve baked the perfect masterpiece and now all you need is that bit of an eye-catching glint.
Cornelius supplier, Watson Inc., has recently introduced a line of Edible GlitterÔ to add shine to food products.
In recent years, consumers have become increasingly concerned with how “natural”, “free-from” or “organic” products are in order to improve health.
Watson has tapped into this health trend dazzlingly with its new “natural” colours range of glitters. Edible GlitterÔ Natural Colors goes back to nature as it is made from the sap of the Acacia tree (gum Arabic) and colour. However, these aren’t colours taken from any old source, they are created using a wide range of natural sources such as cabbage juice, algae, carrots, radish, turmeric and annatto.
Yet it doesn’t stop there; as well as meeting the demand for “clean labelling”, the Edible Glitter Natural Color range has the added perks of being unflavoured, sugar-free and containing no artificial sweeteners, fats, or hydrogenated vegetable oils. This is great news for those wanting to expand their use of edible glitter on to other food stuffs such as savoury options.
Fear not, for those of us with a sweet tooth, Edible Glitter can be flavoured and sprinkled perfectly as a topping on confectionery products and baked goods to add dazzling colour.
