Oliver Lean - Technical Administrator

Career Highlights:

Unable to choose between his two main interests of Biology and Chemistry at school, Oliver decided to split the difference and went on to Bristol University to study the best of both worlds – a degree in Biochemistry. Graduating in 2009, he then felt the need to broaden his horizons rather than to narrow them by specialising, so he stayed on to complete an MA in Philosophy and History of Science. Leaving a year later with a head full of ideas which, while interesting, weren’t obviously applicable to everyday life, he spent some time soul-searching and job-hunting, supplementing his income with personal tutoring for A-Level science students. Oliver joined Cornelius in early 2011 as a Technical Administrator in the Technical, Quality & Regulatory Department.

Outside of Work:

I’m a keen runner, but largely with the intent of working up an appetite for all the food I spend my time cooking. I’m also a music lover and fully-fledged Beatlemaniac, and if I could I’d have a soundtrack to everything I do. I plan to have a good go at learning everything there is to know about science and philosophy, but in reality I have trouble fitting this goal amongst the aforementioned pastimes, as well as films, drumming, writing, and the art of a nice sit-down with a cup of tea.
