A Successful Fie 2007 For Cornelius
Cornelius Health & Food showcased a stand at the Food Ingredients Europe 2007 Exhibition at Excel in London from 30th October to 1st November, and was successful in attracting a lot of interest from both visitors and fellow exhibitors.
The show, now in its 21st year, had stands from more than 1100 companies across the globe, covering all aspects of the food industry from raw materials, through processing right up to the marketing of end products and industry publications. Companies varied from the large multi-national concerns showing on huge, glittering stands to small independent companies showing for the first time in a much smaller format. The show also included both principals and customers of Cornelius.
There was a great deal of interest in the new Functional Food Toolkit being offered by Cornelius. The Toolkit contained everything that you need to start developing functional foods, from samples of raw materials complete with all the necessary data, to suggested recipes in which to try the materials and give you a little inspiration to try out your own ideas, and all in a handy reusable container. Examples of materials included in the toolkit were: Sunfiber - soluble fibre for gut health; Slendesta - potato extract for use as a satiety aid and QVital water soluble coenzyme Q10. Some toolkits may still be available, contact the Cornelius Health & Food team on 01279 714 331 for further details.
The added bonus for visitors to the Cornelius stand was the chance to enter the competition draw to win a meal at one of Jamie Oliver's Restaurants in either Cornwall or London, with wine specially selected to complement the meal. The second prize was a signed copy of Jamie Oliver's latest book. The draw was made immediately after the close of the show and the winners will be announced shortly.
