Premix Offer Significant Cost Savings With Pre-Elec Pa1411, A New Conductive Pa6 Based Concentrate

Premix Oy introduces a new cost-effective conductive PA6 based concentrate. PRE-ELEC PA1411 can be diluted up to 50% with different polyamide 6 grades and still obtain surface resistance values of less than 107Ohms.

This revolutionary approach enables cutting down of raw material costs and gives more freedom to modify the properties of end products. As an example, one can pick recycled polyamide when looking for the most cost-effective solution, or choose glass-fiber reinforced polyamide when obtaining good mechanical properties is essential.

The product has been developed for applications in which permanent conductivity is needed in order to avoid the problems caused by static electricity. Examples of these kind of applications will be found in the field of ESD shielding or in explosive atmospheres in which ATEX approved products have to be used.

Premix Oy pioneered the manufacture of conductive carbon black compounds in 1983 and the extensive experience in dispersing carbon black made the company an expert in this area. The conductive plastic range today covers, in addition to carbon black based compounds, also grades with carbon and stainless steel fibres, metals or metal coated particles, inherently conductive polymers (ICP's) and inherently dissipative polymers (IDP's). PRE-ELEC and PRESEAL are registered trademarks of Premix Oy.
