Holliday Pigments’ new Premier BC grades have been officially endorsed for use in bottled water caps, opening up opportunities in the packaging industry for the world’s number one ultramarine blue company.
Approved by an industry-recognised testing facility, the Premier BC grades were processed under extreme conditions of temperature and shear. No odour evolved during the injection moulding process and no organoleptic effect was found upon the taste and odour of mineral water.
The Premier BC grades were specifically developed for use in the most severe processing conditions and now bottle caps can be produced with the best visual effects and dimensional stability with the additional benefit of being cost effective.
Steve Bell, sales and marketing director at Holliday Pigments, introduces the BC range: “It is our aim to deliver consistently effective products. Due to requirements for ultramarines that can cater for highly demanding food contact applications, Premier BC (for still water) and BC-R (for carbonated water and fruit juices) were developed with all the properties of our other successful pigments, yet offering a cost effective solution to our customers. We hope the new range will strengthen our position in the packaging market, whilst highlighting our competitive edge in the pigment industry.”
Holliday Pigments is the world’s number one manufacturer of ultramarine blue pigments. As market leader it has over 50% of the world market for technical quality ultramarine pigments.
