I had the privilege of seeing GB take the Gold and Bronze in the individual dressage yesterday, at Greenwich Park. The competition was superb, and a fantastic performance by the Dutch silver medalist meant the heat was on for GB to get gold. To hear the national anthem and the Union Jack being raised during the medal ceremony was an experience to be remembered.More importantly, the atmosphere was superb, everybody, regardless of nation of birth celebrated and enjoyed the afternoon. The organisation was faultless, and all in all there are not enough superlatives in the dictionary.
We Brits can be proud of our country, and of the show that we have put on. "Well done the United Kingdom."
