Joy has a background in food technology. She studied for an HND at Manchester Polytechnic and worked at both Reading University (food studies) and Chipping Campden Food Research Association. Experience in industry followed working for Boots The Chemist in Nottingham. This involved the development of medicated confectionary, beer and wine kits and vitamin supplements. Whilst working she studied and gained a degree in Chemistry.

Prior to leaving Boots, Joy headed up the Healthcare Formulation Team and acted as Boots’ Vitamin expert. As part of this role Joy wrote articles, gave quotes, radio interviews, appearances on tv and was even on page 3 of The Sun (an article about Detox)! Joy joined Cornelius in September 2005 as a Technical Sales Representative in Health and Nutrition covering the South of the UK and in September 2007 was promoted to Industry Manager for Health & Food. In February 2008 Joy gained further promotion to become Business Manager for Health & Food.

"I am passionate about music and try to get to as many concerts as possible. I also enjoy motorbike touring and recently combined the two hobbies by touring in Southern Ireland and going to the concerts of some musician friends. Other interests include Complementary Health. I am a qualified Aromatherapist and Reflexologist and practice Reiki."
