Colorglow IQ is a new colour protection concept from Goldwell. It has been specifically created for coloured hair and is prescriptive to the type of colour used on the hair, whether it is highlighted, coloured or lightened. It is the first range to bridge all areas of the colouring process - from the initial consultation with a hairdresser, through to colour maintenance done at home. The concept is to offer long-lasting protection with the Color Protect Complex whose nano-molecules penetrate deep within the hair to keep the colour in place. Grape seed oils balance the hair structure whilst protecting and smoothing the cuticle.
There are three IQ families each of which contain a specialised gloss system. The ScanGloss System is for highlighted hair and is said to actually differentiate between natural and highlighted hair to give targeted shine where it is needed.
The MultiGloss System for coloured hair intensifies colour vibrancy and reflects light for added shine.
GlossRepair System is for full blonde hair and provides rich conditioning and mirror like shine to lightened hair.
Step 1 of the system is the In-Salon Pre-Treatment which creates an ideal base for colouring on to. Impurities, which may cause a barrier between the hair and the dye, are removed using Preparation Shampoo and Structure Equalizer balances structural differences in the hair for an even colour result. For extreme structural differences, caused by over-sensitisation, there's Instant Structure Repair.
Step 2 is the In-Salon after colour programme which ensures the hair is protected from the moment it is coloured. Color Cleanse Shampoo gently removes residue from the hair and scalp. This is followed by the Color neutralise Conditioner which balances pH levels. Finally, Color Finish Serum locks in colour whilst adding shine and suppleness to the hair.
Step 3 comprises of home care products designed to keep colour fresh, there's a shampoo, conditioner, Leave-in Treatment and Hair Masque. The conditioners contain gentle colour pigments to support the colour without changing it.

Clynol's new Look At Me range comprises of six products all designed to give hold and shine. To help you decide which product is best for your style each comes with a hold and shine rating from 0 to 3.
For example Delicious Boosting Hairspray which keeps hair in place with lasting hold and adds gloss to locks has a hold factor of 3 and shine factor of 2; Naughty Styling Fluid can be spritzed through damp hair to create big volume or used on dry hair for added volume and texture (H2, S2) Extrovert Creative Finish Glue gives maximum hold to high maintenance styles (H3, S1); Adorable Defining Crystal Wax texturises the hair and adds super shine (H2, S3); Centre Stage Smoothing Styling Cream tames wayward hair into sleek styles (H2, S1); and finally, Lustrous Final Shine Spray is a finisher which delivers shine for a polished result (H0, S3).
New to Kadus's Slalom collection is the go For Shine! range. Comprising of Drop & Glow Shine Serum to tame frizzy bits, Gloss Factor Molding Cream which defines shorter styles whilst adding shine and Glow Attraction Shine Spray.

Styling
Plump Spray expands and thickens individual hairs with a combination of keratin and vitamins. The non-sticky formulation leaves hair looking thicker and more bouncy.
Also available to provide added volume is Anti.Gravity Lotion from Kevin.Murphy. The non-oily formula texturises and volumises whilst preventing flyaway.
New to the Matrix Ampilfy collection are Thicklift Liquid Volumizer, a leave-in treatment to boost volume without weighing the hair down and Full Body Texturiser which keeps big styles in place for longer.
Treatments
Aminexil GL is a new technology available from Kerastase, formulated to improve hair density and reduce the rate of hair loss. The formula is applied using a pipette to ensure nourishment reaches the root of the hair.
