| Elizabeth Arden's new skin care line, Intervene, pauses the effects of advanced ageing, helping skin to recover and replaces energy reserves. The Intervene range contains Biodormin, a botanical extract which is derived from the Tazetta Narcissus bulb during its period of dormancy. This material claims to slow the effects of sun damage and environmental stress thus delaying the onset of wrinkles and boosting firmness. The range comprises of a moisturising lotion and cream - both with factor 15 protection and a foaming cleanser with moisturising properties. |
New from La Prairie is Cellular Radiance Concentrate Pure Gold which harnesses the apparent healing powers of gold to illuminate the skin and reduce age spots, pigmentation and wrinkles. Colloidal 24 Carat gold is suspended in a formulation containing a neuro-peptide which reduces wrinkle depth, emblica fruit extract that brightens the skin and regulates pigmentation and hyaluronic acid microspheres to plump out wrinkles. The moisturising serum has also been boosted with the addition of Radiance and Exclusive Cellular complexes to brighten and aid repair processes.
Another new product from La Prairie is Cellular Revitalizing Eye Gel which immediately cools the eye are on application and works long term to target signs of ageing. Origin's Precipitation range has been updated with two new products. Precipitation Extra is a rich cream for very dry skin containing sunflower seed oil and soybean oil for the instant relief of dry skin, murumuru butter, Brazil nut oil, shea butter and boise oil complex to replicate the skin's barrier function and coffee oil and sage seed oil to boost the skin's lipid count.

The new Ideal Hydration collection form Carita contains water taken from a lagoon on the Polynesian island of Raiatea, this is rich in trace elements which provide hydration for dry skin. The preventative ageing range also contains an Aqua-Fix complex comprising of Sodium bio-hyaluronate and sugars which have been found to promote long-lasting moisture. Additionally the Aqua-Move complex contains codium and wild flower extracts which are said to promote moisture retention and the circulation of moisture in the skin. Finally the Hydra-Youth complex is made from complex sugars and noni extract and protects the skin from external aggressors and helps to revitalise.
