Darren started his career at Boots The Chemist, based in Nottingham, as a formulator in their development department. This involved formulating Boots own brand products and over a 10 year period he worked on a variety of foods, (from diabetic, dietetic to dog and cat food) medicated confectionery (Strepsils), vitamin supplements, pharmaceutical delivery formats (Capsules, Tablets & Liquids). Later in his career at Boots, Darren headed up teams that were developing exciting technologies to be incorporated into healthcare and cosmetic products. Whilst working he studied for a degree and graduated in Chemistry in 1992. Darren joined Cornelius in February 2004 as their Business Development Manager covering Health & Nutrition. In September 2007 Darren was promoted to Group Sales Manager responsible for all our sales sectors. In February 2008 Darren was promoted to Sales Director.

Darren is married to Dawn and has a son called Daniel and a daughter called Imogen. "One of my aims in life is to practice what I preach and start doing more exercise and undertaking a healthy eating lifestyle. A more realistic goal is to see Nottingham Forest defeat Arsenal on the way to being crowned European Champions (perhaps I’d better start that diet?)."
