S afety and Environment

The safety of our employees and everyone we deal with is paramount. To that end we conform to the highest standards of Responsible Care and are working towards an ESAD II accreditation.




T eamwork

We place a great emphasis on teamwork : the sum of the parts is always greater than the whole. It is only by working together, both internally and externally that long lasting partnerships can form for the benefit of all. We can run parts of our business differently but they must all ''knit'' at the top by good teamwork and communication so reducing a ''silo'' mentality.




R esponsibility

Responsibility is important on both a personal and corporate level. Giving employees the responsibility to make decisions themselves makes their working life more fullfilling. Social Responsibility issues such as child labour, animal testing and the minimum wage are also recognised as important. Cornelius has always had a strong social conscience and now we can use the auditing and continual improvement process in SA8000 to make sure we do not knowingly trade with organisations whose standards may not be so high and continually review our own policies.

Being effective means producing powerful effects. Being efficient means producing results with little wasted effort : it's the ability to carry out actions quickly. However, by so doing, you may not necessarily be achieving effectiveness. Effectiveness allows you to accomplish the worthwhile goals you've chosen : i.e. the ones which support your vision and your mission and lead to continuing success.

Without trust we can have no relationships. We foster a climate of openness within the organisation and seek to build the trust of everyone we deal with. Unless our customers and principals trust us we cannot achieve the industry respect we seek.
